The Superior Oasis family of business was founded on, well, family. Family and community go hand in hand and Northern Michigan University is a vital part of both. Not only in Marquette County but the entire Upper Peninsula Region and beyond. The diversity, culture and exposure our community gains in partnership with NMU is truly a blessing.

With Spring in the air, the community is buzzing with spring break, warmer weather and plans for summer. At Superior Oasis, we’re excited for the summer travel season and to see our area prosper with the continuing trend toward increased tourism numbers. Hudson’s Classic Grill & Bar is ready to open the patio up and enjoy the summer breeze, a burger and a cold beer. Starting your day after a relaxing stay at the Comfort Suites or the Days Inn is best achieved with a breakfast at Perkins! Superior Oasis offers the complete package.

We’re also excited to continue to support NMU football, the university and its staff and students. Our Superior Oasis family of businesses happily employs NMU students and we encourage them to do the best they can to get a good education. We know that summer is ‘break-time’ for some students, but for the student athletes we’re happy to support, summer is when they train, practice & improve and get ready to tackle the next school year.

Supporting our community and NMU are very important to us. We are thankful for the support we get as business owners in Marquette County and do our best to show our appreciation by returning the favor to NMU and our community.

Hi. We’ve been busy serving guests and enjoying another great Upper Peninsula summer. Here’s a quick peak at what we’ve been up to, improving business services, adding community information via concierge and more!

Business at Superior Oasis
We upgraded the collective computer power in our business center to really help you get the job done. Bigger computer monitors and faster bandwidth speeds are just the start. Our Internet is the fastest in the area, because we’ve invested heavily to make it that way! We’ve improved our network security, so you can do whatever you need to do; securely. Printing is also a snap, it’s also free along with sending a fax.

Dining and Unique Room Service
We’ve whipped up the “Your Morning Breakfast” promotion, serving fresh daily hot meats and eggs, coffee, regular and flavored, waffles and more. We know it’s important to start your day off right, work fast, and relax when you’re finished! (no, really, we get it!) If you want more we have two restaurants just steps away: Hudson’s and Perkins; and you’re a shoe-in for 10% off as well as free room delivery.

Relax & Enjoy Your Stay
We hope you enjoy your stay. Our pool area has been redecorated with custom murals of the Marquette Michigan area displaying scenery and history. A neat experience for all ages to better understand the beautiful U.P. We’ll have photos of this unique look up on the website soon.

We’ve also been keeping our events page current on our website so you’re just a click away from accessing all the exciting events taking place around Marquette.

When you’re ready to wind down, our HDTV offerings provide the best viewing channels in the area on new flat-screen televisions.

Oh, we almost forgot: Ask about our K-9 Friendly Days Inn. We’ve got a Puppy Package that will make traveling with your entire family even easier.

Looking for your Oasis when traveling to Michigan’s Upper Peninsula? Be sure to Stay & Play at our Superior Oasis!

We travel quite a bit ourselves, even as hotel operators our trips to and from events are frequent. We know what we like, too. Now we’re doing even more to bring some of these upgrades to our Superior Oasis.

This past March we completed renovations on 25 rooms at the Comfort Suites. We updated the design, replaced sofa-beds, upgraded lighting, mirrors and artwork. The look and feel are improved and we really hope you enjoy them! In our next blog, we’ll have some updated photos of the improvements.

Even more aggressive was our approach toward technology upgrades. We now offer 48 Channels on DirecTV with 4 Showtime Channels! We’ve also brought in a direct fiber optic pipeline: no bandwidth sharing, with 10 mbps up and down! We know you like to be productive and this network upgrade should really help out.

Coming up:
We’re installing 37” flat panel LCD TV’s at the Comfort Suites and also adding 12 High Definition Channels, including another Showtime Channel. Now you can work faster, get finished with your day and relax with HDTV and great channel selection.

Days Inn will see the installation of 37” LCD TV’s in all the King Rooms and Suites. The remaining rooms at the hotel will be completed with 32” LCD TV’s, and our HD Channels are available at the Days Inn too!

Our #1 Goal is to maximize your stay. By focusing on technology upgrades, entertainment and relaxation, we hope we’ve improved your experience at the Superior Oasis! Please Contact Us if you have any questions or feedback.
